Abstract

This paper proposes a reflection on boredom in adolescence and its relation to the digital culture. The aim of this paper is to discuss the relationship between boredom and depression in the capitalist logic of consumption and productivity in which emptiness and sadness are not allowed. Finally, from what the adolescents present in their talks, it is concluded that boredom is both a response of the individual to the confrontation with the real of sex as well as to the conditions of contemporaneity.
