This article discusses the nature of the enjoyment associated with the virtual phenomenon produced by the experience of users of computer programs based on virtual images. On sites such as Second Life, the telepresence and its mediation establish an immaterial reality based on simulation, with significant implications for the body and the sense of mortality.
