WIELEWICKI, Annie; GALLO, Alex Eduardo y GROSSI, Renata. Clinical practice instruments: CBCL as a functional analysis and intervention planning facilitator. Temas psicol. [online]. 2011, vol.19, n.2, pp.513-523. ISSN 1413-389X.
It is widely documented on literature the use of varied instruments - questionnaires, inventories, tests - on research as on behavioral clinical practice. In this paper we highlight the use of CBCL as a facilitator instrument for functional analysis of encopresis behavior presented by a 10 years old child. The instrument was used as an indicative of target behaviors because the scales presented as having high scores (somatic complains, tough problems, anxiety/depression, aggressive behaviors, and social problems) acted as clues for further investigations on functional analysis. Based on these analyses, we defined intervention strategies, considering behaviors classes that needed to be addressed.
