Resumen

MOERSCHBERGER, Mayara Schirmer  y  ZIMATH, Sofia Cieslak. Needs and stressors experienced of family members of patients with multiple trauma in Intensive Care Unit. Rev. SBPH [online]. 2017, vol.20, n.1, pp.122-142. ISSN 1516-0858.

This is a descriptive cross-sectional study with a quantitative approach. The aim of this study was to assess the needs and stressors experienced by family members of adult patients with multiple trauma admitted to an intensive care unit in a public hospital. 23 families participated, with mean age of 39.9 years ± 13.6. The Inventory of Needs and Adaptation of the Critical Care Family (INEFTI) and plug of sociodemographic data were used. The results show that most families are satisfied with the care provided in this ICU, the reported needs more importantly focused on security/proximity categories, and those with the highest rate of satisfaction were represented by security, support, and proximity respectively.

Palabras clave : needs and stressors; intensive care unit; humanization.
