The present study had as aim to analyze the knowledge of psychology students regarding contents related to the psychological assessment. Participated 180 students from 1st and 5th grades, from an institution of education in the interior of São Paulo city. For the accomplishment of the study a 45 items test was elaborated with dichotomy questions, whose objective was to investigate the concept of assessment, the use of tests and the learning of tests. The results have indicated that there was significant difference among the groups from 1st and 5th grades in approximately half of the items and that in a context, the students from 5th grade have gotten better performances than the ones from 1st grade.
