This study presents a general view of Winnicott's theory about adoption. The main point of the work will be to demonstrate the ideas of Winnicott about the theme. The author characterizes two categories of adoption, in the first he considered specific experiences in the lives of adoptive parents and children that don't cause trauma. In the other category he revels the link between adoptive children that suffered deprivation before being adopted and the antisocial tendency, in which that is a trauma so besides the first category' problems the family will have others. And also he demonstrates the importance of professionals who can assist in prevention and treatment of adoptive families and matters.
