MACHADO, Gláucia Inês Marques dos Santos  y  BARLETTA, Janaína Bianca. Online and in classroom clinical supervision: post-graduation students perceptions. Rev. bras.ter. cogn. [online]. 2015, vol.11, n.2, pp.77-85. ISSN 1808-5687.  https://doi.org/10.5935/1808-5687.20150012.

Supervised internship is critical during specialized courses in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). In some courses, this practice is offered in the classroom environment and distance learning (DL). This study aimed to explore students’ perceptions during a specialization course in CBT (in classroom or via Skype) concerning the supervision of clinical internship. The survey used an online questionnaire with eight essays and multiple choice questions, and a demographic data record. The participants were 19 former students who experienced supervision in CBT. Among the main answers concerning the type of supervision chosen, is that related to the preferred supervisor. The main perceived advantage of classroom supervision was personal contact, whereas for the via Skype mode it was the convenience to choose place and time. Internet quality was perceived as the main drawback of online supervision among both supervision groups. It is considered that both supervision formats can have the same quality, but a proper disclosure and a prior trial in virtual environment teaching model is suggested.

Palabras clave : Clinical psychology; postgraduate education; distance education.
