Health, as individual and social category, is the product of the strategies and promotion actions, prevention, recovery and rehabilitation, carrying out by individuals, families, and community. Family is one of the fundamental groups to intervene with the purpose of improving its operation. It is considered Family Operation as an interactive and systemic dynamics taken place in the homelike interior. In Havana City, Cuba, was carried out a qualitative study, called investigation action, with the objective of developing an intervention project to improve the Family Operation. The sample was constituted by 15 families and it was diagnosed family dysfunction. We used the test of Family Operation and the technique of the focal group in order to identify the problems that affect Family Operation. Main problems obtained were centered in communication, affection, role and problems solution. Instruments was applied before and after the intervention.
