Resumen

CASTELO FILHO, Claudio. Oedipus (mis)conceptions: la réponse est le malheur de la question. J. psicanal. [online]. 2009, vol.42, n.77, pp.255-267. ISSN 0103-5835.

The author presents a clinical situation where the analysand has reached great intellectual and professional development but fears and avoids a deeper contact with her own feelings and emotional experiences. He sees a parallel in Oedipus story and in his discovery of his actual self. Following Oedipus steps, the author proposes that his real problem is his incapacity to think. He confuses what he knows with the ultimate reality of the facts. Without any doubt about who or what he is, he acts, what leads him to his tragedy. He knows the answers, but is not wise. He is a moral authority (a king) in search of a culprit, what impedes him to see what is right in front of his eyes. The analyst should not get involved with the problems that he is told to consider, but he must pay attention to the ones that he can observe in his relationship with the analysand. In order not to fall in Oedipus errors, he must avoid the function of moral authority and focus his attention in what he does not know, in the unknown.

Palabras clave : Oedipus; Hallucinosis; Guilt; To think; Question; Unknown.
