Resiliency is a new concept diffused during the last years which gives us a new, different and hopeful perspective on the old problems of our pupils. All the people working in the field of health or education know children or adolescents who meet difficulties which seem difficult or impossible to overcome. Notwithstanding this, realit y reveals that once overcame this situation, people can lead a creative, optimist and balanced life when they reach adulthood. This model, may oppose the risk model, or complement to it. It describes the existence of protective shields or resiliency factors that diminish adversity effects and turn them into surmountable factors.
