Resumen

SILVA, Douglas Zacarias da. Socionomic study: how do relationships develop among young homosexuals living secretely with HIV/AIDS. Rev. bras. psicodrama [online]. 2011, vol.19, n.1, pp.75-93. ISSN 2318-0498.

The author of this article describes his experiences of attending four young homosexuals who have contracted HIV/AIDS among 2006-2008 and live secretly with the illness. The use of Socionomy, focusing on the formulation of the social atom and sociometric network, has helped investigate how these youngsters discovered that they had HIV/AIDS, and, in light of the prejudice and stigma surrounding this illness, how they manage this knowledge, with whom they share it, and what are the criteria of their choices for sharing. The investigation of social networks showed a tendency of sharing this information with their partner (if they have one), with a few friends, and usually just one of their siblings (even if they have more). In contrast with this, and despite of the importance that parents play in their affective lives, these youngsters tend to keep the illness concealed from their parents.

Palabras clave : HIV/AIDS; secrecy; sociodrama; social atom; sociometric network.
