The teaching of any academic discipline must be the object of frequent evaluations and researches. This consideration is also applied to the teaching of Psychoanalysis, that occupies in Brazil an ample space in the curriculum of a psychologist’s formation. Besides the doubts about the possibility of the academic teaching of Psychoanalysis, there is a lack of research on the question of how this teaching has been occurring in the graduation courses, in which the subject is inserted with a great emphasis. Theoretical aspects are highlighted in the teaching and research in the post-graduation.
