Resumen

CAMARA, Sergio Lucas  y  BASSANI, Marlise A.. Studies in psychology on death, mourning, religion and spirituality: a review brazilian literature. Bol. - Acad. Paul. Psicol. [online]. 2019, vol.39, n.96, pp.129-140. ISSN 1415-711X.

The present study aims to present an analysis of articles on psychology regarding religion and spirituality relating to death and mourning, based on a literature review carried out on the BVS-Psi platform. Articles published in Brazil within the period from 2011 to 2016 were selected, from Qualis/CAPES A1, A2, B1 and B2 publications, which had at least one psychologist as one of the authors. In recent years, there has been an increasing number of psychology researches concerning death and mourning in Brazil, as well as a greater interest in topics like religion and spirituality. However, many researchers who are interested in studying death / mourning are not interested in religion / spirituality, in the same way that studies in religion psychology do not focus directly on death and mourning. From an initial collection of 422 articles, only six remained for analysis, whose results, among other aspects, point to the need of more studies regarding the interface between psychology and religion / spirituality. Within the many possibilities, there is a need to reconcile studies on death / mourning with spirituality / religion, especially in the Brazilian reality, where spirituality / religion are strong characteristics of the population. The present study was financed in part by the Nacional Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq) - Brazil - Financing Code 001

Palabras clave : Death; mourning; religion; spirituality.
