This study aimed to evaluate stress and quality of life in multiprofessional health residents. It is a quantitative-descriptive research, with cross-sectional design. The population consisted of 45 residents of Multiprofessional Programs from the University of Pernambuco, from the areas of Mental Health and Family Health, in the health segments of Psychology, Physical Education, Occupational Therapy, Nursing, Social Services, Physiotherapy, Nutrition, Pharmacy, and Dentistry. A socio-demographic and behavioral questionnaire was administered, the Lipp's Stress Symptom Inventory for Adults, to evaluate stress and the WHOQOL-Brief to evaluate quality of life. It was observed that 77.8% of investigated present stress, 37.8% predominate psychological symptoms, and 17.8% are worsening in stress. As to the perception of quality of life, 33.3% assessed it as bad; on satisfaction with health, 42.2% are dissatisfied. It concludes that resident health professionals are in a high stress situation while the quality of life was evaluated as negative. This study shows the relevance of the need for further research on the study object and the reflection on intervention measures in order to improve the quality of life for residents.
