Brazil is among the countries with the expressive increase rates in the older people population. In the current pandemic scenario, discussions about COVID-19 seem to resume and open up social stigmas associated with old age. In this sense, this paper aims to propose a discussion on the view of the psychology of aging and the coronavirus pandemic, articulating with the advances in terms of public policies in the Brazilian context and future perspectives regarding health promotion for the older people. Therefore, the topics presented complement each other to conclude that the e-health strategy has sought to expand the offer and access to health services. Thus, it presents itself as an alternative to promote active aging and reduce the barriers imposed on Brazil’s older people population.

Palabras clave : aging; COVID-19; e-health; public policies; pandemic.
