BASTOS, Gilla Maria Jacobus. How about (going back to) talking about sexuality in psychoanalysis?: Love and hatred and their fates in manifestations of sexuality. Estud. psicanal. [online]. 2019, n.51, pp.79-87. ISSN 0100-3437.
The psychoanalytic formation at Círculo Psicanalítico do Rio Grande do Sul (CPRS) completes and deepends topics that may raise questions regarding the development of the theoretical scope of psychoanalysis, whilst also aiding in meeting clinical challenges arising from working in this field of Psychology. I start the theoretical debate with freudian postulations regarding the relationship between mother and baby concerning its driving focus, but also taking into consideration the mother’s responsibility towards the construction of the self, from the constitution of narcissism with its importance in the oedipal complex later on in the individual’s life, preparing their sexuality. I bring forth the concept of organic bisexuality (Fliess) and psychic bisexuality (Freud) concerning the oedipal identification towards the individual’s possible fates, including in, or mainly in, their sexuality. Afterwards, I use concepts of post-freudian authors such as Green, Laplanche and Ceccarelli so as to update concepts and impressions concerning a much needed topic, as is my belief, regarding the fates of drives that influence human love relationships.
