Resumen

GRIGORIEFF, Alexandra Garcia  y  MACEDO, Mônica Medeiros Kother. Singular displacements in the psychic experience of migration. Psicol. clin. [online]. 2018, vol.30, n.3, pp.471-492. ISSN 0103-5665.  https://doi.org/10.33208/PC1980-5438v0030n03A04.

After the severe earthquake that took place in 2010 in Haiti, a significant number of Haitians has migrated to Brazil, seeking new opportunities in life. This article presents some historical, political and economic facts about Haiti, and considers specifics about the Haitian migration process to Brazil as well. Its main objective is to highlight the subjects' conditions in the migration experience, as well as the relevance of the care towards those who migrate. Having as guidelines the Freudian propositions about grief and melancholy, deemed as modalities related to the psychic investments and disinvestments by the subjects, a Haitian migrant's narrative has been used to exemplify aspects that allow the identification of risks resulting from psychic vulnerability. The sample narrative is part of a data corpus gathered in the course of a qualitative research carried out with Haitian migrants in a university in the South of the country. It makes clear the relevance of taking into consideration the import of subjective factors in the migratory process, which allows the unveiling of a context characterized by psychic and existential complexities, as well as the research practice potential as a modality of listening to the singularity present in a human phenomenon.

Palabras clave : migration; migrant subject; psychoanalysis; psychic suffering.
