SIQUEIRA, Manuela de Albuquerque Rocha; BLOC, Lucas  y  MOREIRA, Virginia. The family in child psychotherapy: An integrative review of humanistic and phenomenological approaches. Psicol. clin. [online]. 2020, vol.32, n.3, pp.599-617. ISSN 0103-5665.  https://doi.org/10.33208/pc1980-5438v0032n03a09.

This study aimed at presenting an integrative review of the Brazilian scientific production regarding the participation of families in the child psychotherapeutic process among the approaches inspired by humanistic and/or phenomenological thinking. The PEPsic and Capes databases were searched for articles published between January 2008 and October 2018, using descriptors that allowed for the multiplicity of approaches and nomenclatures in those. After applying the inclusion criteria, which were previously established, 11 articles were selected for analysis. For the analysis, the articles were divided into two categories: one containing the studies that describe the perceptions of the psychologists themselves or of the families about the process, and another category with studies describing how was the participation of families in the child psychotherapy. Results point to a concordance between the current studies and the theoretical framework, showing how relevant the families' participation is. It is suggested that research and publications on the subject be expanded, in addition to investing in the qualification of children's psychotherapists for this type of work, which has not been much explored and proves to be an area that requires great attention and improvement by psychologists.

Palabras clave : child psychotherapy; families; fathers and mothers; phenomenology; humanist psychology.
