Resumen
TANIS, Bernardo. Paradox and Bonds: a clinical assessment of otherness and culture. J. psicanal. [online]. 2010, vol.43, n.78, pp.57-78. ISSN 0103-5835.
The present paper investigates the clinical relevance of the notion of paradox, in particular the paradoxes that constitute subjectivity, as formulated by Winnicott. In order to illustrate this hypothesis, two central axes of psychoanalytical theory and clinic are explored: the otherness and the spatial-temporal dimensions. We conclude that the notions of paradox and transitional phenomena are important to investigate transformations in contemporary subjectivity and offer useful resources for a dynamic understanding of the psychoanalytical clinic.
