Resumen

GOSLING, Flávio. The origami flexibility and unflexibility risks: analyst impressions and influences. J. psicanal. [online]. 2022, vol.55, n.103, pp.253-268.  Epub 08-Jul-2024. ISSN 0103-5835.  https://doi.org/10.5935/0103-5835.v55n103.20.

In the same way that solid bodies are changed as a result of an external force, the influences along the formative path will generate transformations in an analyst. Contact with more experienced analysts will leave marks just like folded papers. Origami is metaphor for the emergence of new formats and versatility during the formative process. Melanie Klein’s reports from her contact with Ferenczi and Maud Mannoni’s with Winnicott will be used as examples. These reports reveal the contributions arising from the contact with senior analysts, although they reassure differences among perspectives and critical thinking. On the other hand, from the perspective of an analyst in training, the text will highlight risks of unflexibility due to excessive idealization, predominantly narcissistic relationship, little freedom of thought, rigid setting of divisions in Psychoanalysis schools, lack of collective discussion in the psychoanalytic environment and the disregard of the analyst previous repertoire. The text encourages training analysts to write down their experiences, registering their stories and allowing future assessment of the formative path.

Palabras clave : analytical training; influences; analyst flexibility; impressions; biographical account.
