Resumen

The study had as objective to analyze the recent publications on the school psychopedagogue, in order to understand how the psychopedagogue has been inserted in the school, how does his work in the school context, how he develops his work, what relationships he establishes with the rest school actors (management team, teachers, students, parents/guardians). The methodology was supported in the bibliographic research of the State of the Knowledge, the data were collected through publications from article in on-line Journal of the Brazilian Association of Psychopedagogy (Revista Psicopedagogia) - with the use of three keywords: school psychopedagogy, psychopedagogical performance and psychopedagogical work. Seven articles related to the school were selected and so defined three discussion topics: the psychopedagogue, the student and the teacher. The conclusions show that the psychopedagogue is a necessary and important professional in different areas within the school and that it must have specific knowledge at different professional areas such as mental and psychological disorders of behavior, social issues that interfere in learning and understand the functioning of the environment and the specifics of the school environment as a whole.
