Resumen

SCHUBERT, Claudio  y  GEDRAT, Dóris Cristina. Communicative rationality as a means to promote humanized health relations according Habermas' point of view. Aletheia [online]. 2016, vol.49, n.2, pp.64-75. ISSN 1413-0394.

As far as health is concerned, welcoming and objective communication, which takes into account personal and cultural specificities of its users, is essential for promoting the patient's well-being. In this sense, Habermas' communicative action theory that searches consensuality is an excellent framework on which to base development in personal, professional and institutional levels of actions that take place in a welcoming environment as far as health is concerned. Thus this theoretical essay aims at developing the idea that customer care in health institutions can be better qualified and humanized as far as the communicative action is based on the search for consensuality.

Palabras clave : Communicative rationality; Humanization; Interpersonal relationships.
