This work is based on reflections of an epistemological character that admit the existence of a crisis of sciences in the contemporaneity, which reflects on the area of the Psychology of Education. A retrospective view over the last 25 years of Psychology in Brazil leads us to the recognition of the radical criticism that denounced the educational psychology as serving hegemonic interests. In the most recent years, there seems to emerge a new way of scientific knowledge that enlightens new practices, more appropriate to the social necessities. The development and performance of educational psychologists are consolidated, in order to be better prepared in theory and practice so as to contribute to the solution of the problems in Brazilian education.
