Resumen

AIELLO-VAISBERG, Tânia Maria José. Clinical style being and doing: critical-propositional response to depersonalization and social suffering. Bol. - Acad. Paul. Psicol. [online]. 2017, vol.37, n.92, pp.41-62. ISSN 1415-711X.

This article aims to propose, to base and to illustrate the Being and Doing Clinical Style, created two decades ago at University of São Paulo to be used in institutional contexts, which clinical efficacy has been demonstrated in the treatment of many problems that involve depersonalization, as social suffering. Therefore, the paper presents the theoretical foundations of this proposition, that are based on the epistemological requirements of concrete psychology and on a non-developmental reading of the Winnicottian thought, that demands a critical revision of psychoanalytical psychopathology as well of a certain use of the scheme of the complementary series, which overestimates children's emotional experience, in a aprioristic way, and undervalues adult life clearly linked to the conditions of social life. The clinical care according Being and Doing Style is based on holding, to promote experiences of integration, as a way of overcoming the effects of pathological depersonalizing interactions that express discrimination, exclusion and social oppression. A clinical case is presented to make the exposure more vivid and concrete. As a conclusion, the text affirms the importance and specificity of clinical psychology in the approach to social suffering
