PEREIRA, Gabriela Aguiar; FORMIGA, Nilton S. y ESTEVAM, Ionara D.. Confirmatory analysis of the measure of organizational support in nurses of a public hospital in a capital city in the Brazilian Northeast. Bol. - Acad. Paul. Psicol. [online]. 2019, vol.39, n.96, pp.59-68. ISSN 1415-711X.
This study aimed mainly to examine the maintenance of factorial organization about the organizational support perception in nurses of a public hospital. With the socioeconomic changes that have occurred in the last ten years, organizations have sought to develop human resource practices focused on the life quality of their staff. Amongst these, one perspective that has been contributing to the organizational and work psychology is the evaluation of organizational support as an auxiliary measure to the diagnosis of the organizational performance. This study was attended by 101 nurses from a public hospital in Natal-RN, Brazil, ages between 27 to 62, men and women (95%) of which 60% had worked 30 hours/week for more than 6 years. Participants answered a sociodemographic questionnaire and their perception scale about the organizational support (EPSO). In the confirmatory analysis, psychometric indicators were observed that guaranteed the EPSO quality in nurses. In a regression analysis, the variables age, marital status and managerial position predicted the perception of the organizational support. It is possible to conclude that the EPSO is a reliable way to evaluate such a construct in nurses and that, before a process of intervention practice in more specific variables, it should be focused on the predictive variables.
