The military police work, due to the complexity of their activities, can be characterized as a potential generator of emotional distress and stress, whose care and attention to physical and mental health need to be constant. Due to this situation, this article describes an experience report developed in the Military Police Battalion in a city in the South of Brazil. The general objective of the intervention was to contribute to the strengthening of the health of the military police and the specific ones, to promote self-knowledge and self-esteem of the participants and to improve teamwork. The method employed consisted in the technique of group dynamics, participant observation and semi-structured interviews. It was observed that the intervention of Psychology contributed both to the reflection of the practices performed and to support for the shared anxieties and sufferings; taking into account the need for a collective space for listening and dialogues on day-to-day events.
