In this study the role of individual's personal values on use and time organization was investigated. Participants were 271 undergraduate students (60% men), mean age 19 years (SD = 1.9) who completed the Time Organization Scale and the Schwartz Value Survey, Brazilian version. A principal axis factor analysis, varimax rotation, of EOT revealed four factors: routine, persistence, planning and competence. It was found that students with high score on time organization had their value priorities on benevolence and conformity. The persistence was positively related to realization, hedonism, stimulation, and self-direction. The correlations between values types and the routine yield a sinusoidal shape. Also, women were more organized than men; students of humans sciences planned more than exact sciences students and students from first semester had more competence using time than students from others semesters.
