GUSMAO DE GOES BRENNAND, Edna  y  CAVALCANTI VASCONCELOS, Giuliana. The concept of intelligence multiple potential according Howard Gardner to reflect on pedagogical multimedia devices. Ciênc. cogn. [online]. 2005, vol.5, n.1, pp.19-35. ISSN 1806-5821.

Human relations have been showing new social roles, which are played taking into account the biopsychological aspect that mankind owns. To understand hidden mysteries of the mind it is useful to carry on a continuous study. Thus, as a strategy to reach such understanding, one was interested in interpreting the origins and limits of cognition. Theoretically, Howard Gardner's studies were adapted, concerning to "multiple intelligences". The method used to think the investigation was the philosophical hermeneutic, which was theorized by Hans-Georg Gadamer. The relationship between the phenomenon of intelligence and the world of knowledge became evident, which was described taking into account the relation among subject-society species and technology. The invention of the device called cyberspace that combines technology, information and interactivity is confirmed, giving the possibility of several ways of communication in social web life. One observed that this world of knowledge challenges the mankind to change, developing the maximum of its cognition, which showed the need to introduce new ways to think about intelligence into educational processes. © Ciências & Cognição 2005; Vol. 05: 19-35.
