This article discusses a proposal to develop educational software, following guidelines for the production of learning objects with the support of multidisciplinary teams. The survey also presents some features that this software should include to assist learning. A methodology was developed specifically for these learning objects. The methodology presented addresses the collaboration in the production of materials that assist in the development of learning objects, such as concept maps, navigational maps and Storyboards. In addition, this paper present a Storyboard created to meet the needs of this collaborative development. The article presents a case study, focusing on the use of science learning objects to elementary school. The collaborative development process had four teachers of science, beyond the technical team. After the process of modeling the object of learning was applied to 50 students. © Cien. Cogn. 2010; Vol. 15 (1): 019-032
