Resumen

DIAS-VIANA, João Lucas  y  NORONHA, Ana Paula Porto. Student’s Subjective Well-Being: Associated School Variables and Assessment Measures. Estud. pesqui. psicol. [online]. 2022, vol.22, n.2, pp.729-751.  Epub 03-Mayo-2024. ISSN 1808-4281.  https://doi.org/10.12957/epp.2022.68648.

The aim of this study was to investigate the school variables associated with the subjective well-being of students, as well as to identify the assessment measures used, through an integrative literature review. The following descriptors were used: "subjective well-being", "school" and "student", and the corresponding terms in English and Spanish. The databases consulted were: ERIC, IndexPsi, Lilacs, PePsic, PsycInfo, PubMed and SciELO. After the complete reading, the final set of publications based on the eligibility criteria was composed of 26 articles, published between the years 1998 and 2019. Most studies were carried out in the United States and China. The most used instruments were Student's Life Satisfaction Scale and the Positive and Negative Affect Scale for Children. The scarcity of contextualized measures for the school context was evidenced. The variables most associated with student’s subjective well-being are related to socialization, behavior adaptability and academic competence. The results provide subsidies for the development of interventions focused on promoting the students’ well-being and highlight the importance of contextualized measures at school.

Palabras clave : student characteristics; emotional experiences; students; positive psychology..
