Resumen

The article describes aspects of the experience that was developed withtwo groups of participants from the Course on Psychosocial Care related to Alcohol and Other Drugs at CRR-UFSJ. The groups are composed of communitarian leaderships, workers, and care agents from São João del-Rei and municipalities in the region, who were offered instrumentalisation and reflection concerning the topic. Interactive teaching and learning methodologies are adopted as a way to operationalize the idea of lifelong learning, using expository dialogued classes, group techniques, discussions, video exhibition, indication of readings and tasks to be made at the place of practice. The report refers to the first course module composed by an inaugural class and three meetings with each group, which took place during the period from September until November 2015. Changes in ideas and behaviorswere observed in the field of alcohol and other drugs, as well as efforts by the course participants to multiply the acquired knowledge.
