Resumen

ROSARIO-HERNANDEZ, Ernesto  y  MILLAN, Lillian V. Rovira. La relación entre las manifestaciones de conductas de ciudadanía organizacional con los cinco factores de la personalidad, satisfacción laboral, compromiso organizacional, justicia organizacional y contrato psicológico. Rev. Puertorriq. Psicol. [online]. 2011, vol.22, pp.72-100. ISSN 1946-2026.

The aim of this research was to study the relationship between organizational citizenship behaviors (OCB) in the workplace and personality based on the five factor model, job satisfaction, organizational commitment, organizational justice, and psychological contract. A number of 121 employees participated in this research, from different organizations in which 62.8% (76) were women and 33.9% (41) men. The average age of the sample was 34.15 years of age with a standard deviation of 10.61. A total of 69.4% (84) worked for a private organization, 64.5% (78) had tenure position, and only 19.8% (24) worked in a management position. Results suggest that many of these organizational variables and personality traits are related to OCB in varied degrees. Many of these organizational variables and the personality factors Extroversion and Openness are predictors of OCB. Organizational implications of the present findings are discussed.

Palabras clave : Organizational citizenship behavior; personality; job satisfaction.
