Starting from the maxim that "by our position of subject, we are always responsible", as Lacan (1965 - 66 /1998, p.873) says, this article aims to delimit elements for the understanding of the notion of responsibility of the subject from the work of this psychoanalyst. In order to do so, two m oments are proposed: I) a articulation about the thesis of psychic causality in Lacanian thought, in order to collect in this axis conditions of possibility to the responsibility of the subject; II) implied to the conditions of possibility, as are the form s of assumption of responsibility of the subject, depending on the logical time and the position of the subject for its effectiveness.
