This study aimed to understand and elucidate a lesbian experience in the interface with traditional and inclusive religious practice. The research project of this study was submitted and approved by the Ethics and Research Committee - CEP of the Faculty of Sciences and Letters - Campus Araraquara / SP. The phenomenological qualitative methodology was chosen to access and understand the experience of the collaborator gathered through an open interview mediated by a triggering question. From the analysis of her life story, the following categories of analysis emerged: (1) Childhood experience: Traditional Evangelical Church at the interface with the family; (2) Experience in adolescence: between homosexual desire and religious teaching; (3) Adult experience: traditional evangelical church and homoaffective experience; and (4) Inclusive experience: Inclusive Church and homoaffective experience. This work made it possible to understand a lesbian woman homoaffective religious experience, the emotional suffering of authentic living, its potentialities and limitations to human experience.
