Resumen

FARIA, Gabriela Moreira de. Therapeutic Alliance Constitution in Online Pshychoterapy: Gestalt-therapy Perspectives. Rev. NUFEN [online]. 2019, vol.11, n.3, pp.66-92. ISSN 2175-2591.  https://doi.org/10.26823/RevistadoNUFEN.vol11.nº03artigo59.

The study topic was a Gestalt approach to the therapeutic alliance in brief gestaltic virtual psychotherapy. The purpose of this research was to describe and characterize the therapeutic alliance in brief gestaltic virtual psychotherapy. The theoretical methodological course was based on the hermeneutic phenomenology of Paul Ricoeur and Gestalt-Therapy, understanding the processes of subjectivation through discourses. Psychotherapeutic procedures were made with three women, two of them with 25 sessions and the remaining with 16, in the modalities of videoconference and text chat. The results showed that tender attitudes, genuine care, comprehension, interest, as well as the language utilized with the client are resources that the therapist can use to establish the therapeutic alliance. The results were promising, since two of the three clients were able to adapt to the new modality, stating that they did not perceived any big differences between online and in person attendance. All clients reported that their initial goals for psychotherapy were totally or partially achieved and that the technological intercurrence did not compromise the establishment of the therapeutic alliance.

Palabras clave : Therapeutic Alliance; Therapeutic Relationship; Online Psychotherapy; Gestalt-Therapy.
