Resumen

BAPTISTA, Rachel; ZAMORA, Maria Helena  y  BITTENCOURT, Maria Inês. From being the Dump Boy: care in foster families. Trivium [online]. 2017, vol.9, n.1, pp.62-73. ISSN 2176-4891.  https://doi.org/10.18379/2176-4891.2017v1p.62.

In this article we intend to understand the importance of foster family service to the children of early childhood care. The family that shelters undertakes to protect, through interim care, and contribute to brief family reintegration of those who pass by his residence. We dialogue with authors who theoretically subsidize the act of welcome as an important measure to promote continuity of human maturity. It is noteworthy, in this work, the contributions of Winnicott, whose theory of human maturity portrays the need of the figure of a mother (or caregiver) good enough. As an illustration, presents a case based on real events, a child whose house was situated in a dump and was referred to foster family service. We point to the importance of this measure as a palliative proposal for environmental failures.

Palabras clave : FOSTER FAMILY; VIOLENCE; CHILDHOOD; CARE.
