This study aimed to analyze Foucault’s reading on the political changes in Iran, from 1970, based on the emergence of a "political spirituality", which occurred in the wake of the breaks between the State (through military force) and society. The text theoretically explores the notions of finitude and present time, in order to make up the interpretive framework for the reporting of ideas, which served as Foucault's working method to handle the event in its temporality in which past, present and future are articulated. The article points out that against Western modernity. Iran restores religion as guiding the social field.
