In the following text, it is performed a preliminary communication of a current in development research regarding the history of psychoanalysis at Minas Gerais. At first, the Psychoanalysis came to Minas Gerais by the same way it came to Brazil: Psychiatry and Modernism. It is presented the first draft of a clinical work realized in this state and, afterwards, the trajectory of the first school of psychoanalytic formation. In the end, it is taken as work hypothesis the influence of certain political and social characteristics of the Minas Gerais state - the Catholicism and Conservadorism - on the implementation of Psychoanalysis in the state,  including as resistance to the coming of an institution bound to IPA. This movement is realized as an attempt of comprehending the reason of a school founded on Christians basis had found an nourishing environment in the 1960s' Minas Gerais, while a institution linked to IPA only came to this region thirty years later. This articulation between Psychoanalysis, Conservadorism, and Catholicism seems to be the peculiarity of the entrance of Psychoanalysis in Minas Gerais.
