Important cultural changes have happened in the last 50 years concerning family configurations, methods of raising children, and technological advances. These changes have significantly impacted psychoanalytic practice. It seems necessary to revise the use of tools developed more than 100 years ago. This paper will focus on interpretation as the most relevant tool for the psychoanalyst.
