Resumen

ANDREUCCI, Judith S. T. C.. Considerations on the analysis of a psychotic personality. Rev. bras. psicanál [online]. 2016, vol.50, n.1, pp.119-132. ISSN 0486-641X.

In this paper, which is referred to the analysis of a psychotic personality, we bring into consideration three fundamental points: (a) When the psychotic world is transcended, there seem to be an intelligence and a strange intuition and art which work in completely unknown and incomprehensible terms to our logical and rational world. This intelligence, which strengthens the psychotic world’s vertexes and captures dangers that reason cannot detect, organizes and commands psychotic defenses by considering the most adequate solution to avoid the total destruction; (b) In the most primitive basis of Oedipus complex, there seems to be something like a mutilation of the own right of being, of existing, which may be caused by a catastrophic child-mother mismatch or "misencounter". This mismatch makes the child live without a reference point to feel existing, which leads her (or him) to topple into chaos through unimaginable anguishes; (c) Some particular patients have their support limit for anguishes which arise from understanding deep levels of mind. How far should psychoanalysts go to proceed with their work of investigating and understanding, attending to the patient’s limitations?

Palabras clave : psychotic personality; intuition; intelligence; psychotic defense; angst; anguish.
