The aim of this paper is to compare and correlate personality characteristics, self-image and social skills of groups of school children, differentiated by the children's age and gender. Ninety children, equally divided according to gender and three age groups (8, 9 and 10 years old) participated. The following assessments were applied: Childhood Personality Trait Scale (ETPC), Child-Youth Self-Image Scale (EAC-IJ) and Multimedia Children's Social Skills System (SMHSC). The results were compared to the normative data and a statistical treatment was carried out regarding the distribution by age groups and gender and the correlation between the evaluated variables. We observed significant correlations among psychoticism and sociability, psychoticism and assertiveness, psychoticism and active pattern, sociability and family self-image, personal self-image and social self-image, passivity and active pattern.
