The aim of this paper is to analyze the theme of memory in Freudian thought, based on the conception that mnemic activity can never be reduced to its representational dimension. So, we single out the intensive aspect of the memorial processes, through an examination of that which escapes the possibility of representation, linked to the order of the unspeakable ando of the underlying drivesand the afective field.
