^lpt^aO autor visa tratar da articulação proposta por Lacan, em Télévision, entre o afeto de tristeza e a noção de covardia moral, no sentido de um julgamento ético que a psicanálise pronuncia acerca da posição do sujeito deprimido. Para esse fim, o autor examina a referência de Lacan à ética de Spinoza, o qual reconhece, no afeto de tristeza, uma ausência de tensão lógica do pensamento.^len^aThe author aims to deal with the articulation proposed by Lacan, in Télévision, between the affection of sadness and the notion of moral cowardice, in the sense of an ethical judgment pronounced by psychoanalysis regarding the position of the depressed subject. For this end, the author examines Lacan's lecture of Spinoza's ethics, which recognizes, in the affection of sadness, a lack of logical tension in the act of thinking.
