^lpt^aEste texto descreve, em detalhes, um procedimento de intervenção para pais que se mostra efetivo na promoção de práticas parentais positivas, no que se refere a habilidades sociais educativas parentais, a habilidades sociais de pré-escolares e, por outro lado, à redução de práticas negativas e problemas de comportamento, sendo um avanço em relação à literatura da área. Este trabalho é resultado de oito anos de implementação e avaliação de intervenções junto a esta população, em um Centro de Psicologia Aplicada de uma Universidade do estado de São Paulo, sendo o quarto modelo de intervenção, mais suscinto e efetivo na comparação com os anteriores. Discutem-se os resultados quanto à ampliação dos repertórios de clientes e crianças, bem como as suas implicações para as políticas públicas.^len^aThis text describes, in details, an intervention procedure for parents that is shown as effective in the promotion of positive parental practices, in what he/she refers to parental social education skills, social skills in preschool children and, on the other hand, in the reduction of negative practices and behavioral problems in preschool children, being a progress in relation to the literature of the area. This work is the result of eight years of work and evaluation of interventions close to this population, in a Center of Applied Psychology of a University of the state of São Paulo, being, then, the fourth intervention model, shorter and more effective in comparison to the previous ones. It discusses results about the increasing of client's and children's repertoires and implications for public politics.
