For more over a hundred years, the interpretation of dreams has been to Psychoanalysis, the main road to access the unconscious. However, in 1982 Gordon Lawrence developed Social Dreaming, a method that favors the expansion of both the contents and the meaning of dreams, through free association, reported within a group matrix. Dream-telling is a technique developed in working with groups based on the principle that telling a dream is a social event that occurs in the intersubjective space established between the dreamer and the listener.
