^lpt^aNeste artigo, tomamos a contratransferência como instrumento principal para a compreensão dos processos psíquicos e experiências emocionais de uma hoje jovem paciente transexual, que chega à análise como um adolescente andrógino com histórico de internações psiquiátricas e envolvimento em processos judiciais. Descrevemos o campo transferencial-contratransferencial que vai se constituindo e desdobrando, examinando a passagem da predominância da projeção à prevalência da identificação projetiva no tratamento do/da paciente.^len^aIn this article, we assume countertransference as the main tool for understanding the psychical processes and emotional experiences of a now young transsexual patient, who starts a psychoanalytical treatment as an androgynous teenager, with a history of psychiatric internments and of personal involvement in a number of lawsuits. We describe the transference-countertransference field that is being established and subsequently unfolds, by studying the passage from the predominance of projection to the prevalence of projective identification in the patient's treatment.
