^lpt^aO objetivo deste artigo é verificar como as mudanças sócio-econômicas e ideológicas ocorridas na sociedade pós-moderna interferem na constituição da subjetividade humana. A autovalorização do mundo das imagens e do individualismo, aliada ao volume excessivo de informações, substitui a troca de experiências, causando o empobrecimento progressivo da vida interior. Surgem, então, novos laços sociais e também novos sintomas. O indivíduo não consegue expressar seus sentimentos, atribuindo todos seus males a uma causalidade inscrita no corpo. Assim, a impossibilidade da fala constitui-se em um desafio para a psicanálise contemporânea.^len^aThe aim of this paper is to verify how the socioeconomic and ideological changes, which occurred lately in our society, interfere with the constitution of the human subjectivity. The importance given to the world of images, the individualism, combined with the excessive volume of the information, substitute the change of experiences, causing the progressive impoverishment of the interior life. This brings to the emergence of new social relations and pathological symptoms. The consequence of these facts is that people do not know how to express their feelings, attributing all their evils to causes originated in the body. Thus, the impossibility of speech constitutes a great challenge for the contemporary psychoanalysis.
