The assistance to the psychiatric patients coming from a long period in psychiatric hospitals is a central issue to any therapeutically residential service. Our proposal is that the reinvention of daily life may be an important tool in recovering, allowing the substitution of the symbolic order and making room for the construction of a less invasive Other. The mentally ill may be the object of public policy and still be condemned to silence and that being submitted to an imposed project of life does not mean yet an inclusion. Psychoanalysis gives us access to a clinical dimension that is present in daily life, and to an attentive openness to the subject.
