The main objective of this work is to clarify about the construction of the Psychotherapy market in the United States, after World War II. Therefore, its aim is deepen into the essential understanding about the transformation of a clinical psychologist into a psychotherapist and also discuss the relationship between the European Psychoanalysis and the American Clinical Psychology in this period, as well as its importance to this field (market). To conclude, this work discusses the construction of the Brazilian Psychotherapy Market in regards to the American scene.
