^lpt^aDescreve-se uma série de passos intermediários no tratamento psicanalítico do autismo - habitualmente uma "terra de ninguém" na bibliografia - entre o início e a finalização. Esses passos são analisados na perspectiva do brincar, e são formuladas algumas de suas conseqüências prognósticas metapsicológicas.^len^aThis paper describes a sequence of steps in the psychoanalytic treatment of autism, far from the beginning and the end, and a sort of "no man's land" in the usual literature. These issues are examined in the playing's perspective, trying to settle conclusions about prognostic and metapsychological points of view.
